Katrine Bregnum (Kat Polar) is a Danish-born, Berlin-based dancer, sound-artist, and singer whose work bridges the fields of dance, music, and new media. Since graduating in 2015, Kat has been working with immersive, interdisciplinary experiences that blur the separation between sound, movement, and technology.
In 2023, she was a resident at the AR Lab of Dock Digital (Dock11), where she explored choreography and sound-design in augmented reality, collaborating with technology such as AR-leap glasses, motion capture suits, kinect, etc.
Kat's ongoing audiovisual collaboration with new media artist Rahul Sharma has brought their performances to venues like Studio 1111, Alte Münze.
As a solo artist, Kat Polar delves into the polarities of sound, adding dark, industrial textures with moments of softness and vulnerability. Katrine Bregnum (Kat Polar) ist eine in Berlin lebende, dänische Tänzerin, Sound-Künstlerin und Sängerin, die Tanz, Musik und Neue Medien verbindet. Seit 2015 arbeitet sie mit immersiven, interdisziplinären Erfahrungen, die Klang, Bewegung und Technologie verschmelzen lassen.
